Eduardo Elkouss
Graduate and Post-Graduate Studies
Eduardo Elkouss is currently working as an architect in Spain and Argentina. Higher Studies on Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires (1973). Post-Graduate Studies: Israel Institute of Technology (1974-75) Pennsylvania University (1976); United Nations Environment Programme (1977); Barttlet School of Architecture, London (1979); Master Degree on Urbanism IEAL Madrid (1985); Doctoral Thesis on Accessibility in the Urban Space (2004) at the Polytechnic University, Madrid, which was awarded with Cum Laude and published by the University Press (2004). After 2004 onwards: professional experience in meetings held in Paris, Kyoto, Barcelona, Jurmala, Hong Kong, etc.

Congress speaker on “Architecture for All” (Universal Accessibility, Design for All, Inclusive Design): Istanbul (UIA World Congress, 2005), Turin (UIA World Congress, 2008), Tokyo (UIA World Congress, 2011), Durban (UIA World Congress, 2014). Other lectures given in: Alicante, Barcelona, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Curitiba, Djerba, Dublín, Jurmala, Philadelphia, Hong Kong, Maçeio, Madrid, San José-Costa Rica, Santiago de Chile, Santiago de Compostela, Tel-Aviv, Torrevieja, Valdivia, etc. Personal exhibition in Beijing (UIA World Congress, 1999.

Accessibility: Towards a Full Social Integration of the Disabled in the Urban and Natural Environment (Polytechnic University of Madrid, 2006). Argentinean Architects Around the World directed by Luis Grossman and Daniel Casoy, in collaboration with César Pelli; Mario Corea; Rafael Vignoli; Emilio Ambasz; Carlos Prus; Rodolfo Machado and Jorge Silvetti; Ignacio Dahl Rocha; Maria Haydée Pérez; J.A. Urgell, A. Penedo and J.M. Urgell; Diego Peralta Ramos; Jorge Morini; Pfeifer Zurdo, Di Clérico, Pfeifer and Questa; Daniel Azerrad; Juan Lucas Young. Former Director of UIA Work Programme Architecture for All RIII The Americas. Associate Member of the UIA Work Programme on Architecture for All in Europe.
